It is the ideal school to learn how to cook Thai food, to preserve the traditions for generations to come.
Arrive to Chiang Mai and transfer to your hotel for overnight accommodation.
day 2 : Doi Suthep Temple & Meo Hill-tribe Village
Have A Breakfast.
08.30 AM Doi Suthep Temple & Meo Hill-tribe Village. (Half day).
A pleasant winding drive up to Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the symbol of Chiang Mai, where the holy relic of the Lord Buddha is enshrined. 2 magnificent Nagas act as guardians as you ascend up the steps to the temple.
A splendid view of town and the surrounding country -side can be seen from the temple grounds. Drive further up the mountain to visit a Meo hill - tribe village. Migrants from China, they choose to live in self-sustaining villages while retaining their primitive culture, quaint customs and elaborately embroideried dresses. Return back to town.
Have A Lunch.
01.30 PM Home Industries.(Half day).
A paradise program for shoppers willing to enjoy the fun art of shopping See world - renowned native handicrafts actually being crafted by master craftsmen and their assistants.
Elaborate teak-wood carvings in hundreds of forms and sizes, intricate hand-made silverware, high-fired celadon, lustrous lacquer-were, Thai silk and cotton being woven the ancient, traditional way on rustic wooden looms, primitive paper making process, hand-made paper and silk parasols in a dazzling blaze of rainbow hues. Watch skilled artists painting on parasols. High skill and endless patience is a necessary virtue to work in these industries.

To really get your hands into it, what could be better than to spend a day learning how to cook the local dishes, guided by culinary experts.
At a pleasant country -side village just 15 minutes from town (Chiang Mai), we have the perfect place for you at Baan Hong Nual Cookery School. Here, you will get to learn about local spices, ingredients, preparation and cooking local dishes, Thai sweets, fruit carving and food presentation, all you need to know about the local culinary art.
